On behalf of Santa Elena Jaguars #27 Ventures, thank you for making our Antigua 2025 expedition possible. From Aug 1 – Aug 5, 16 Ventures and 2 adult leaders learned, stretched, and led – on cobblestone streets, at Hobbitenango, and on the slopes of Acatenango.

What your support became
• Safe travel and trusted guides from the city up to high altitude
• Warm meals (including a morale-boosting buffet at Hobbitenango), water, and rest
• Essential gear and extra layers when the mountain turned colder than expected
• Calm, coordinated care during an unexpected evacuation – every youth safe, seen, and supported

• Sunrise hike at Cerro de la Cruz
• Community moments in Antigua (live music, city explorations)
• Acatenango ascent with a Fuego eruption sighting!

“Scouts Canada Beaver Scout Claire (Scout) Bouchard’s Second Visit to a Scout Group in Belize”

On May 15, 2025, Beaver Scout Claire Bouchard traveled to Belize for her second visit, participating in the international program designed for Beaver Scouts ages 5 to 7. During her visit, she engaged with the 23rd Orange Walk Buffalo Scout Group.

The Beaver program emphasizes discovering new experiences, making friends, and enjoying fun-filled adventures through activities like nature walks, hikes, tree planting, games, crafts, and family events. Through these activities, Beaver Scouts develop valuable social skills and boost their self-confidence while spending time with their peers. Accompanying Claire was her mother, Candice, who serves as a Beaver Scout Leader with Scouts Canada.

Candice expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Buffalo Scouts for making Claire’s visit possible and for providing her with a unique and exciting experience in world Scouting.
