“International Youth Chef Jamboree”

The Belize Scout Foundation supported the 1st International Youth Chef Jamboree (IYCJ), which took place from October 30 to November 2, 2025.

This inaugural IYCJ was held in Tlaxcala, Mexico, organized by the State of Tlaxcala in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and an international steering committee of volunteers, including government representatives, culinary sector companies, youth groups, and Scouts.

The Jamboree brought together young and renowned chefs from around the globe, along with both Scouts and non-Scouts, for a range of activities. These activities are designed to provide a transformative experience for children, youth, and adults, using gastronomy to share identity, culture, and values, while also developing culinary skills among participants.

The International Steering Committee includes members from the Republic of China (Taiwan), Mexico, the United States, China, Malaysia, and Belize.

Independence Day Official Uniform Parades

On September 21, 1981, Belize, the only British colony in Central America, gained its independence. Each year on this date, Belizeans gather throughout the country and worldwide to celebrate their nation’s independence, history, culture, people, and beauty.

Scouts from various Scout Groups across the country proudly displayed their colors during the official uniform parades celebrating the occasion.

This year, Belizeans celebrated the 44th Independence Day in 2025 with the theme “Stronger Together, Rising Forever.”
