The 6th Corozal Methodist Scout Group actively participated in the Church Harvest

The 6th Corozal Methodist Scout Group actively participated in the Church Harvest held on Sunday, October 29, 2023, in Corozal Town.

The Scouts displayed their artistic talent, singing accompanied by guitar music.

On June 21, 2023, Mr. Edward M. (Billy) Musa Sr., Vice-Chairman of the Belize Scout Foundation, presented a guitar to the Group Scout Leader to support the Scout musical program.  Subsequently, the Scout Group also received three flutes for the group’s musical program.

Mrs. Gwendoline Monima is the Group Scout Leader and has the support of other trained leaders.

The Belize Scout Foundation is happy to be associated with the Methodist Scouts and is working towards donating more musical instruments to enhance their music program.

JOTI-JOTA 2023

JOTI-JOTA 2023

This past weekend, October 20 – 22, 2023, Jamboree on the Air and Jamboree on the Internet (JOTA-JOTI) took place.

JOTA-JOTI, the world’s largest educational digital and radio Scout event promoting friendship and global citizenship, brings together more than 2 million Scouts members from over 174 countries, learning about communications technology, chats with WhatsApp groups, Messengers groups, video conferences and personal links with fellow Scouts.

Mr. Alejandro A. Tovar, a Radio aficionado, has been serving as an official administrator and operator for Scout Link since 2014, monitoring conversations in safe mode during the entire event and protecting the participants from any digital or verbal abuse.

The Belize Scout Foundation thanks Mr. Tovar for providing a safe environment for this worldwide event and congratulates all JOTA-JOTI 2023 participants.
