Pile Driving Ceremony for the “Sir Colville N. Young Building”

After months of waiting, the Belize Scout Foundation has finally entered into a contract with Maheias United for the driving of the piles for the “Sir Colville N. Young Building” Home of Scouting in Belize.

In connection with the driving of the piles, a ceremony for the driving of the first pile will be held on October 16, 2019.  The short but meaningful ceremony is intended to boast the initiative and launch an intensive appeal for funds to be able to construct the building.

The Belize Scout Foundation has already received a substantial donation towards the building from the Government and people of Taiwan and from Atlantic Bank Ltd. but are still far from reaching their goal of raising the total amount needed to construct the building for the Scouts of Belize.

Everyone is invited to come and witness the symbolic driving of the first pile at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 16, 2019 at the Scout lot behind the Girl Guides Hut on Albert Street.
