Belize Scout Foundation (BSF) donates Lawnmower to Scout Association

 The Belize Scout Foundation in partnership with Universal Hardware Company Limited donated a lawnmower to The Scout Association of Belize today Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

 

At its meeting of the BSF held on June 27, 2020, National Scout Executive Roberto Lopez made the request to the Foundation saying that they urgently needed a lawnmower to assist them with keeping the grounds at Camp Oakley, the national training and camping grounds clean since the weed cutter they have been using is not enough to do the work.

Today, Dr. Rene Villanueva, chairman of the Foundation accompanied by Hilberto B. Riverol, Executive Director of the Scout Foundation presented the lawnmower to Roberto Lopez.

The Directors of the Belize Scout Foundation are pleased to support the Scout Association and reiterates its commitment to its mission to raise, invest and administer funds to create the means to support Scout programs that will prepare young people to make sound principled life decisions as they develop into responsible adults.

Major Eric Neal (IG and ADC) graduates from Canadian Forces College with a Master of Defence Studies (MDS) degree

 The Belize Scout Foundation CONGRATULATES Major Eric Neal on his recent achievement of a Master of Defence Studies (MDS) degree from the Canadian Forces College.

Major Neal is the sixth Belizean to attend this program and the first to achieve the MDS.

He is the Aide de Camp (ADC) to the Governor-General of Belize and is also currently the Chief Scout of Belize.

During his school days, he was a Scout with the 1st Belize Holy Redeemer Scout Troop and attributes his love for the army from what he learned in Scouting. He currently serves as an ex-officio member with the Belize Scout Foundation. CONGRATULATIONS! Major Neal
