Blocks campaign for the “Sir Colville N. Young Building”

The campaign is ongoing and we are counting on support to complete the Boy Scout headquarters in Belize City.

We are looking for individuals, couples, groups or organizations who want to help with our blocks campaign for the “Sir Colville N. Young Building” home of Scouting in Belize.  You can donate as little as you can afford or as much as you can.

We need 5000 cement blocks and it’s costing $5.00 each. The $5.00 covers the cost of the block, labor and materials to get the job done.

Already, someone has donated the first 100 blocks. We will create a wall and post the name of all the donors with their permission. This will help us see how we are progressing with our blocks drive and maybe encourage others to contribute.

The clock is ticking, help us build a permanent home for the Scouts of Belize.

The last day of concrete casting to finishing the second floor.

August 27, 2020

As an act of goodwill, the Southside men were treated with a special lunch today. Chairman of the Foundation Dr. Rene Villanueva and Chairman of the Building sub-committee served the food to the workmen in appreciation of their hard work in completing the second floor on schedule.

Laying of blocks should start next week and work on the ground floor that will be used for parking will also commence next week.

Our block campaign continues…….remember that each block counts and will add up to the 5,000 needed for the building. $5.00 a block, we are counting on the support needed to complete the home of Scouting in Belize.
