Official opening ceremony for the September celebrations “National Flag Day”

September 1, 2023 marks the beginning of the September celebrations leading to Independence Day on September 21, 2023.

To mark the occasion, a symbolic flag raising ceremony was held today at the flag monument at the entrance of Belize City.

The Belize Scout Foundation and Patron, Sir Colville N. Young congratulate the Scouts and the Scouts steel band that participated in the opening ceremony.

This year’s September celebration’s theme is “Hope Ignited! Hands United; BELIZE@42”

Belize Scout Foundations hands over ROTOPLAS 1100L Water Tank to Scout Association

Today, Hilberto B. Riverol, Executive Director for the Belize Scout Foundation, handed over a ROTOPLAS 1100L water tank to the Scout Association.  The water tank is a gift from Ms. Barbara Usher, who resides at Vista Del Mar in Ladyville.

 

Present to receive the gift was Mr. Nephtali Palma, Field and Program – Executive of the Scout Association.

The water tank will be used at Camp Oakley, the national training and camping grounds.

The Scout Association thanks Ms. Usher for this gift that will be put to good use at Camp Oakley.
