11th Mary Hill Scout Group receives a small grant towards their summer camp

On June 22, 2024, Mr. Hilberto B. Riverol, Executive Director of the Belize Scout Foundation, visited Corozal Town to meet the Scouts and Leaders of the 11th Mary Hill Scout Group. During a brief ceremony at Mary Hill School, Mr. Riverol presented a $500.00 grant to Scout Leader, Mrs. Nayelie Rancharan, to help with their summer camp expenses. Mrs. Rancharan expressed her gratitude for the support, stating that the funds will greatly aid the group’s participation in this year’s summer camp. Mr. Riverol also expressed the foundation’s happiness with the Scout group’s utilization of the small grants program.

The Belize Scout Foundation, established in 1989, has provided over $460,000.00 in funding to The Scout Association for various projects and recently gifted a building to the Association valued at over one million dollars.

We at the Belize Scout Foundation are happy to see Scouts having fun in an International event like the 2nd Global Scout Bicycle Jamboree in their backyard. Keep the Scouting Spirit alive Corozal

Today The Scout Groups of 11th Corozal Mary Hill and 6th Corozal Methodist joined in to participate in the Global Scout Bicycle Jamboree 2024. The route for 11th Corozal Mary Hill was from Mary Hill School, we joined with 6th Corozal Methodist at Rainbow Park en route to Consejo Village, after arriving at Consejo Village we went to Tamay Park on the beach to relax, some Scouts went fishing while others went swimming. At Midday 11th CMHSG set off back enroute to Corozal.
