As the 100 years of Wood Badge Training celebration comes to a close this December 31, 2019, I find it most appropriate to share this picture of the 1st Gilwell Reunion held in Belize on Sunday, September 25, 1988, at Camp Oakley.
The pictures are of very low quality but it still serves as a historical point in Wood Badge training in Belize.
Michael Hudson who was Regional Director then and who was a close friend of Belize directed the course and was assisted by 2 other Scouters from Boy Scouts of America, Walter ‘Dan’ Dansby was one of them the other I don’t remember his name at this point.
I believe that the only active person today who did the Wood Badge Course back then is Nephtali Palma (Front row seating L-R second person) some have passed away and others have moved on with their lives.
If anyone can help with the names of the participants in the group picture that says (not sure) I can update this post later on.
