SCOUTS IN ACTION! Did you know?

Did you know that in the month of June 2016, a fire devastated an area in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye?

Baden Powell once said, ”  One of the chief duties of a Scout is to help those in distress in any possible way that he can”.

In this situation, Venture Scouts and Field Executive Claudia Groutsche headed to San Pedro Town to render assistance.  Tropic Air was more than happy to transport the Venture Scouts and Leader and Sun Breeze Hotel & Banana Beach Resort were also more than willing to provide accommodation because it was a worthy project, Boaz Golf Cart Rental provided ground transportation and the San Pedro Town Council provided all the meals during the cleanup exercise.

The Venture Scouts spent 5 days on the island cleaning debris from the fire and assisted in feeding those that were left homeless.
