Belize Scout Foundation and Scout Association representatives meet to discuss gifting of building MOU

The Belize Scout Foundation took up the challenge to construct a home for Scouting in late 2019.  This was as a result of the Scouts being informed that they will need to vacate the current office space they were using provided by the government of Belize.

Two years later as the building nears completion the Belize Scout Foundation (BSF) saw it fit to draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) before gifting the building to the (SAB).

On Tuesday March 30, 2021 representatives from both parties met to discuss the MOU months after it was presented to the SAB.  The meeting was cordial and although no formal agreement was reached, the BSF is hopeful that some agreement can be reached before the handing over of the building to the SAB.

Work continues on the building which is 90% completed.  Currently, the fence is being erected to add security to the building.
