It’s not impossible, our Belize Scouts could be involved in situations like this. Come on Scouts of Belize. When San Pedro has the big fire a few years ago, the Venture Scouts responded with enthusiasm to the cleanup efforts. This was coordinated by then Field Executive Claudia Groutsche. In the midst of this crisis, the #Scouts are one of the major humanitarian actors contributing extensively to the community in Lebanon!
Young people are helping residents who lost their homes save and remove their belongings, clean the incurred damages in their houses and on the streets, and give moral support to traumatized families still under shock. With shovels, gloves, and masks, they cleaned and gathered the shattered glasses, metallic and wood wreckage spread everywhere in order to send them for recycling. Others were distributing food to families.
What a tremendous Scout Movement we belong to! all the support of scouts all over the world makes really every single person here, whether a scout or volunteer feel hopefully that #Beirut can stand up again on its feet! 🇱🇧 Thank you !!
