Corozal District Scout Assembly elects new officers for 2025
It is encouraging to see Scout districts organizing themselves to better serve their members. With this focus, the Corozal District held its annual meeting on Saturday, January 11, to elect new officers for its district Scout assembly. This assembly has a wide range of responsibilities that extend beyond serving the Scouts in the district. These responsibilities include:
– Electing a District Chairman from among qualified members for a term of one year, with eligibility for re-election for further terms.
– Electing a District Secretary from among qualified members for a term of one year, with eligibility for re-election for further terms.
– Electing a District Treasurer from among qualified members for a term of one year, with eligibility for re-election for further terms.
– Electing two Scouters from among qualified members to serve on the District Executive Committee for a term of one year, with eligibility for re-election for further terms.
– Electing a District Commissioner from among qualified members for a term of two years, with eligibility for re-election for further terms.
– Electing two qualified Group Scouters to represent the District on the national Scout Assembly as needed.
– Approving the Annual Report of the District, including the audited financial accounts, and sending both to National Headquarters.
