Orange Walk Scout Buffalos Receive Small Grant
The 23rd Orange Walk Buffalos Scout Group received a small grant from the Belize Scout Foundation to help with expenses related to an upcoming river cleanup and an investiture ceremony for new Scouts in the group.
On December 7, 2024, Hilberto B. Riverol, the Executive Director of the Foundation, along with Publicity and Website Support Personnel Alejandro Antonio Tovar, traveled to Orange Walk to meet the group’s leaders and Scouts and formally present the grant.
Mario Puck, the District Commissioner for Orange Walk, and Ricardo Alcoser, the Scout Association’s Senior Field Executive, witnessed the presentation.
In his remarks during the presentation, Riverol expressed the Foundation’s pleasure in supporting the Buffalo Scouts with a small grant of $500.00 for their programs. He also thanked the Orange Walk leaders for their dedication to providing leadership for the group.
The Scout Group received a similar grant to support their summer camp program earlier this year.
