1990 Scout Week Campfire
Back in the 80s to around 2016, the Scout Association celebrated Scout Week in February commemorating the birthday of the Founder of the Scout Movement Lord Baden Powell, (BP).
Around 2016 this changed, the Association started celebrating the whole month of February as Scout Month adding more activities. I heard very little about Scout Month this year, could be that the Association is still in a recovery mood after COVID-19. Whatever the case is, I came across a few pictures of the campfire that was organized by the 1st Belize Holy Redeemer Scout Troop back in 1990 and although the quality of the pictures is not good, I thought I’d go ahead and share them. The older folks who are still around may enjoy seeing them. Those that have departed may they Rest in Peace. The leaders in these pictures were seriously committed to Scouting which is why the program was so successful.
I hope I can find more of these older pictures to share for the benefit of the older folks that are still around but no longer involved in Scouting.
