Belize Scout Foundation awards funds for JAMCAM participants & Messengers of Peace flags.
Chairman of the Belize Scout Foundation (BSF), Dr. Rene R. Villanueva, and Mr. Roberto Harrison, Chairman of the Finance & Investment Sub-committee of the BSF presented a small grant of $2,145.00 to Mr. Nephtali Palma who represented Miss Reese Medina, delegation leader to JAMCAM 2023. The funds will go towards the participation of 13 members of the Scout Association participating in JAMCAM which will take place from April 4 to 9, 2023 in Ciudad de Panama, Panama.
A second small grant for $1,500.00 presented simultaneously will be used to purchase twenty-five (25) Messengers of Peace Flags that will be distributed free of cost to Scout Groups around the country participating in the Messengers of Peace initiative. Started in September 2011, Messengers of Peace is a global initiative designed to inspire millions of young men and women in more than 220 countries and territories to work toward peace.
