Building meeting with Sir Colville N. Young
The Chairman of the Belize Scout Foundation (BSF) Dr. Rene Villanueva, Chairman of the Building Sub-Committee Francis Woods and Executive Director of the BSF met with Sir Colville N. Young on May 19, 2021 at the building under construction to up-date Sir Colville on the progress of the building.
Chairman of the Building Sub-Committee Francis Woods informed Sir Colville that some work remains pending, the Baron Bliss Terrace floor has to be painted, the office floor also needs to be painted and two windows inside the office need to be installed. Sir Colville was also informed that the elevator needs to be ordered and will take approximately six months from the point of ordering to the point of complete installation.
Sir Colville was also informed that work on the museum is in progress, a curator is doing the preparatory work and an inventory of the items to be exhibited has been done. A PowerPoint presentation on how the museum will look will be done at the next meeting of the Foundation. Also, an architect is drafting a concept of the memorial and a presentation of this will be made at the next meeting of the Foundation to approve it so that work can commence as soon as possible after.
