On August 15, 2025, Mr. Del Martin, the Director of the Belize Scout Foundation, traveled to Corozal Town to officially present a $1,000.00 grant to the 11th Corozal Mary Hill Scout Group.

This funding will assist the Mary Hill Scouts in constructing concrete ramps to improve accessibility at the Mary Hill R.C. School compound. Through this initiative, the 11th Corozal Mary Hill Dolphins Scout Group aims to eliminate physical barriers, promote equal access, and create a safer, more inclusive, and dignified environment for all students in the school community.

The project was initiated by Venture Scouts, Omar Riverol and Dylian Gongora, who are working towards their Venture Scout award, and identified the need for ramps as a project which they developed. After much planning alongside the team of Venture Scouts and Leaders their project was approved.

During the check presentation to the Scout Group, Mr. Martin expressed the Foundation’s pleasure in supporting this project, which will enhance access to various areas of the school for those in need. He was accompanied by Mr. Hilberto B. Riverol, the Executive Director of the Foundation.

A short tour of the project in progress followed after the official ceremony.
