Dr. Rene R. Villanueva recognized Candice D. Riverol for her contribution towards the construction of the Sir Colville N. Young building

On February 4, 2024, Dr. Rene R. Villanueva recognized Candice D. Riverol for her contribution towards the construction of the Sir Colville N. Young building, which serves as the home of Scouting in Belize.

During the recognition ceremony, Dr. Villanueva presented a picture of the plaque honoring Candice’s invaluable role in the project. On behalf of the Scout Foundation, he thanked Candice for her selfless dedication to the betterment of the Scouting community.

Dr. Villanueva highlighted Candice’s significant contribution towards the construction of the Sir Colville building, noting that she initiated the 5000 block campaign through the GoFundMe program. Her efforts resulted in exceeding the targeted amount of blocks needed for the building’s construction.

Candice’s actions serve as an inspiration to us all, demonstrating that determination and perseverance can lead to great accomplishments and make a positive impact on the world.

Candice is married to Guy Bouchard, and they have a daughter named Claire, who is a Beaver Scout in Scouts Canada. They currently reside in Canada.
